LEARN ABOUT THE BROWNIE
Today, we should be receiving 120V AC from the wall, but depending on where you are and what time of day it is, you can receive anywhere from 120V to 129V. That’s not good for your amplifier, or your ears. The Brownie is a voltage optimizing power supply (aka a voltage controller) designed specifically for modern tube amplifiers, offering the ultimate solution for achieving consistent tone and protecting valuable equipment - the first of its kind.
The Brownie is the first product in the AmpRx line to increase and decrease voltage. Plug the Brownie into the wall, adjust the voltage and then plug your gear into the Brownie.
WHAT MAKES THE BROWNIE SPECIAL?
Modern Versatility: The first product in the AmpRx line to both decrease and increase voltage, compatible with all amplifier types from classic tube amps to modern designs.
Unlock the Perfect Tone: Achieve consistency in tone and protect gear in any environment by dialing in the voltage you need every time you power your amp. Love your tone at 117V? You got it.
Serious Protection: Mitigate disaster. Prevent unnecessary, expensive, and frustrating repairs.
Industry Recognition: AmpRx is trusted by amp techs around the world, top touring artists and their techs, and has been spotted on stages with artists like the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Paramore, Bonnie Raitt, Derek Trucks, Iron Maiden, Lynyrd Skynyrd and more.
Designed for All Musicians: Priced at $299, the Brownie is an affordable way for all musicians to attain professional-grade voltage control.
Reliable and Durable: Hand-wired by humans in the USA, built to last.

A note about fuses: If you have a larger amp, consider switching the 2a fuse to a 4a fuse

Learn How to Use the BrownBox
Works great to stabilize input voltage for an older SuperLead
Required equipment for any tube amp. Built like a tank, these look as good as they perform!
My wall voltage is anywhere from 118v to 129v. I've found my Two Rocks to sound ideal biased at 30ma idle per tube.. Well, if the wall is 128v when I bias to my preferred 30ma per tube, and the next time I play the wall is 120v, my tubes are only idling at 27ma… enough to notice a little stiffness, with less smooth high end, so I’m messing with the gain and EQ trying to find the tone from the night before.
Now I set my Brownies to 120v,, bias the amps, and keep it at 120v. My amps always sound great. I turn my amps on and the tone is there…every time. So I can spend my time playing and not tweaking.
Excellent product - it's the piece of gear I didn't know I needed. The feel of the amp "under the fingers" is amazing. My pedals seems to sound and feel "better" as well, and I know my amp is happy too.
That is great to hear! We are so happy you and your amp are happy. It's special to be able to 'feel' your amp vs just hearing it. Welcome to the AmpRx family!
Love the Brownie. I have not been able to find anything that would make it B Stock - did you guys acidentally put a new Brownie in a B-Stock box? It works perfect delivering 117 VAC to my Mesa Boogie which is by the way what the user manual calls for!

An amazing product. Anyone who owns vintage audio gear should have one…or MORE!
Wow - 114-115v for my 65 Tremolux made a HUGE difference in tone! I'm a believer.
This product has brought my tweed Fender Super, Blackface Twin Reverb, Valco and Danelectro amps back from the storage facility.
I have played electric guitar and bass for over 55 years, I remember how these, above mentioned, amplifiers should sound like and also perform like. Now, with The Brown Box, I am playing my vintage amps again. They have great tone and reliablity. That makes me happy. Thank you

The plate voltage on my vintage silver panel Deluxe Reverb is now in a safe range. I feel comfortable running vintage power tubes and it sounds so good. It has just the right amount of sag that was previously missing. Thanks AmpRx!
Yes, I know it's only January, but investing in my amp with a Brown Box was the smartest decision I've made in a long time. Thanks AmpRx. Now I'm safe and secure!

This is a gift for a talented relative, so I can only say it is a heavy, solid piece of equipment that arrived in good order. Nice people at BrownBox who respond to emails.
Received exactly as advertised! Great build quality and functionality. I may need to buy another one!

BrownBox has been instrumental in keeping my vintage Ampeg SVT operating flawlessly on the road, where voltages can fluctuate wildly!
